Christmas past

Am finally getting round to getting the tree into the house. It has to be a real tree - couldn't bear an artificial one though I appreciate that they have their benefits.

Took a bit of effort to get it in the bucket. It appears to have a bend in it though but guess it won't notice with all the decorations on. Have put the lights and angel on tonight and will do the rest tomorrow.

This decoration was given to me when I was very young and it wasn't new then. Looks to me like it's of 1950s vintage. It takes pride of place on my tree every year, even though it is getting a bit tatty now. A bit like me LOL
