How does he do that?

We took ourselves (and Rona) down to the canal again this afternoon for a stroll in the winter sunshine. All very well if you kept moving but, if you stopped, the extremities began to chill rapidly. We noted an odd thing. On looking up at a light aircraft coming in to Cumbernauld airfield, we saw seven (7!) airliners all heading west for the Americas. They must have been going home for Christmas!
A flock of domestic ducks appeared to be paddling around trying to keep an area of water open and further along we met up with a pair of swans.
This one tried to do the icebreaker thing but just bounced off. A quick flap of the wings and up he came on top of the ice . Under the weight of one full-sized adult swan, the ice creaked and groaned and sank a little giving this odd effect of the swan walking of water.
This morning we stocked up to avoid the inevitable last minute mob. so the turkey and the ham are in the freezer along with the trimmings. The beef is on order and the veggies will come along mid-week so everything will be fresh.
Strictly - The Final is starting in five minutes or so. Good luck to them all!
