Indiana Fiddlers' Gathering
This is my good friend Howard Clark.
We keep a vending tent at the festival that we use to discuss Folk School programs and promotional materials.
On Friday, a few hours after set-up, a powerful thunderstorm moved through the area. This is tornado country, so these storms are taken seriously.
When the storm hit a group of friends took shelter in our vending tent. Water dripped through the roof and began to rise on the ground. In just a few minutes we were pretty damp.
We knew that we would be pinned down for a bit, so most of us pulled out our instruments and jammed.
I was several hundred yards from my family at our campsite. I worried about them the entire time. They were fine...but damp.
No tornados hit and the weekend turned out well.
