17A Round Corner, Dublin Street, formerly Duke Street Edinburgh.

Did the street used to be called Round Corner Street before or possibly after it was was called Duke Street? What was in 17A? What was in 17B? How can you get a round corner? By definition corners are pointy right? Or do they mean that 17A is round the corner? If so, why not say so? Or is it so expensive to get letters stencilled on your house that they thought they had better save themselves a few quid by missing out a word? And if it is round the corner then that would make it Albany Street, not Dublin Street at all.
