that last one needs a little explanation. home, to me, is wherever i feel most at peace. home can be a person, a place, a certain time of day - it is wherever there is an inherent serenity and essential love. i have felt home in so many ways and yet not at home at all in others this weekend. east lansing has never felt so strange and yet so wonderful and new.

thank you for that.

now i'm finally with my family. scott and i are watching there will be blood. it's hands down the most incredible movie i have seen in a long time. johnny greenwood (of radiohead) composed the soundtrack, and it is absolutely intense. eerie, compelling, dramatic, absolutely fitting. just go see it.

GOD it's good to be home.
