WooHoo...a New Magazine!

I am not so sure about other countries, but here in the USA, there has been a seemingly surge of interest in the Amish and their lifestyle. Perhaps it is because so many of us feel the pressures presented by many of our electonic gadgets, we feel curious, if not somewhat envious, of the Plain People.

I have befriended several Amish or ex-Amish people on Facebook, and I love seeing a new perspective on life sometimes offered by these people. I especially love seeing new recipes shared as well!

One of the friends I have made is a woman by the name of Sherry Gore. Sherry's life has taken quite a turn in the past couple of years, and she is gaining popularity and recognition that is well deserved!

Sherry began her new career by compiling a cookbook for a small community which includes many Amish folks who leave the cold weather of the northern US to enjoy the warmer weather of Florida. Sherry never dreamed her little cookbook would thrust her into a new and amazing life!

I won't get any more lengthy here, but Sherry is now the editor of a wonder-filled cooking magazine, Cooking and Such adventures in Plain Living.
I received a copy of the first issue just yesterday. Although we had company and I hadn't the time to read this magazine yet, the photography is simply incredible!!!
