My City: Day 426: Street Painting

Friday night....thankfully.:-)

My City is abuzz with shoppers....like me...who have postponed the inevitable gift buying. I do attempt to live as sustainable as possible so I attempt to buy from artists and craftspeople....or Ten Thousand Villages if possible.

The whole cycle of consumption...of which I was a part of when I was younger, is now what I see as a situation that one needs to be conscious of with the realization...finally...that this planet has limited resources that must be managed so that all can benefit....not only those who can afford to do so....and yet I teach in a school that is full of the 1% children who come from a life of privilege and entitlement...a dichotomy of thought that I wrestle with each day.

Anyway....the WEEKEND ..yahooo...celebrate and enjoy!!!!...but watch your consumption...LOLOL

Oh yes... there are four of us blippers in Toronto who are gathering this coming Tuesday for a drink..or two...and...maybe one of us will use the occasion to use our blip to blip it to blipville......ENJOY!!!!
