Another year

Last week I was observed by the Head of School. The new appraisal system means that all staff can expect to be observed without any warning or notice at any time on numerous occasions. This has not gone down too well with a number of whinge bag teachers but I absolutely welcome it as I really believe that this is how it should be done. I have too much experience of mediocre teachers pulling off an all singing all dancing lesson just because they knew they were going to be observed. Anyway, I could go on and on and not gain too many friends with my views!

The upshot, I guess, is that I was offered a new contract today, which is a nice early Christmas pressie.
