Finally Dressed
The kids came down this morning to see the Christmas tree in the dining room with all its decorations and its light on. Initial reaction was 'wow', but then my normally non-materialistic oldest child began to worry about there being no space under it for presents (amazing what a term at school can do!). The only way to calm her was to turn on the lights on the tree in the living room and show that one to them. They were much more appreciative of that and of the space under it too!
Will had a lovely time at Music Train Christmas party and was definately not scared of Father Christmas. He was less enthusiastic at swimming and his eating hasn't been great (horrible teething issues), so I am not looking forward for a good nights sleep.
Carys has had a ball at school this week. They use Twitter to keep parents updated and it has looked like so much fun. Christmas party Tuesday, followed by a smaller one on Wednesday to finish the left over food. A Santa Lucia assembly and an end of term special assembly. Carys received her 50m swim badge from the head at that one. Christmas dinner today for the whole school, hats were a prerequisite and if they were homemade you got a housepoint. Good job it is the last day of term tomorrow, I don't think she could deal with much more fun (oh and the homework finally stopped tonight, or they forgot to put her reading book and homework book in her bag).
