Santa

Here in France the seasonal sport is to place your Santa halfway up a wall or leaping over a balcony. It's very good fun spotting them. This Santa up at La Caumette is a little on the small side but is obviously trying to break into a prison.
In fact it's a normal house but the breezeblocks remain unpainted and grim. Because new buildings here attract maximum VAT (19.5 percent) people leave the bits they can for 2 years when the VAT drops to 5.5 percent. Unfortunately it means that France is now peppered with unattractive walls and buildings that people get used to after a while and never get around to prettying up. Such a shame in such a beautiful country.
