First Snow

Today was the first city centre snow of the winter here. There's been snow on the hills overlooking Sheffield, but it's more elevated there and away from the urban heat island. It's always nice to see it in the centre of town.

Went out with my camera and took around 20 pictures of the snow before the thaw set in, but surprisingly this picture of a leaf sitting on the snow was my favourite. It's down to all the different textures on each part; some wet, some dry, some catching the sun, some dull. Nature wins again :)
