Pinus nigra

Black pine.

Spent yet another day planting (ho ho bloody ho) holly!

I have to admit that I am not feeling quite as festive as I might.

But then, there are no berries on it, so it doesn't count, and it was very very cold outside today, even inside the walled garden

The pine trees looked really nice above the wall, but they didn't seem to photograph well until I tried B&W

This effect is apparently called Kodak HIE.
