A chance meeting and a wedding to do

Strange how keeping a journal brings back memories I guess the saying every pictures tells a story is correct *smile*

My grandad Robert Cave was a wedding photographer in the 1950's through to the mid 1980's though I never knew his to late 1970's a long story!!! But when I did he taught me about the importance of light and would get me to set the camera without using any light meter. Nothing built in like these day he taught me a lot and I ended up doing a few weddings besides being a herdsman for my dad which was my main job. An amazing man who made his own processing chemicals even kodak were impressed.

I always found weddings the most difficult thing to do and would rush back to the darkroom to make sure all was good.. luckily it was. I gave up to on being a police video cameraman another long story!! but did the odd wedding now and again for friends this year started my own web / video business and decided I would do 4 weddings a year in return for a donation to my charity the Children of Watamu, Happy House. So everyone wins the couple, the charity and I have fun with my camera *smile*

A few years ago I did a tarot card reading for my friend Karen, another long story I am a tarot card reader.... but I predicted she would meet a man who she would marry and be surrounded by men... she met her man Paul who has 2 boys as does she. I was out Christmas shopping and bumped into them and they ask me to do their wedding next September... a happy ending will share a wedding pic in about 9 months *smile*
