First Flurry

We've had our first light, snowfall but it didn't last long and didn't lie either.

Much excitement though, and it was the perfect excuse for the kids to get just a little more hyper if that's possible.

Then in the afternoon the fire alarm went off. Perfect timing; just as it started to pour with rain. Fortunately for me, I don't have responsibility for checking a register so it was off to the bike sheds to shelter from the shower, much to the glowers from those who did have to take registers.
Poor kids though, some didn't even have their jumpers or blazers on.

The pine cones I collected from Poole a few months back have opened up beautifully as they baked on radiators and in the airing cupboard. So I thought it was about time I started to spray them with snow; make them just a little more Christmassy.
