Blackmuir Wood
Before my harp lesson with Alison Kinnaird today in Strathpeffer, I had enough time to take Dimairt on a walk in Blackmuir Wood, which we had last walked about 6 years ago.
It was strange how much had changed. A great many trees have fallen since then, and there are many more which are teetering on the edge of falling. It was very eerie, walking through the woods, and listening to the creaking of the tall, spindly pines.
The light coming through the dense umbrella of branches was quite atmospheric, and I am reminded of how much beauty there is away from the sea.
Beauty of a very different kind - beauty nonetheless.
