Dario Argento's Museo degli Orrori
Underneath the cult video/comic store Profondo Rosso in Rome's Prati area - owned by and featuring many of the works of the Italian horror director Dario Argento - is the Museo degli Orrori, or Museum of Horrors. For a mere 3 euros you get to see many of the props and curiosities from his films and demented imagination, complete with booming audio describing the scenes and tableaus. We were given pamphlets in the shape of bloodied cleavers ("For defense!") and had a great time kidding around with lagoon creatures, Roswell aliens, demons and mutilated corpses. Highly recommended if you've seen a lot of the sights of Rome and want something different and quite ridiculous.
