Soapstone

Woohoo, more new camera toys! Isn't Andy great?! My cheap new tripod - being the temporary cheap tripod that it is - is a bit wobbly, so my hitting the camera button was shaking the photo too much. Surprise! Now I have a remote control button. So of course I had to try it out.

I had noticed before that our soapstone oil burner throws some really cool shadows, so i thought to try that. Turns out it doesn't always do that, and the candles I tried tonight apparently don't have the correct properties. Guess I will have to try that shot some other time.

Also on the up side, the cookies from yesterday (despite being rather flat) are soft and delicious. I wish I wasn't so full from dinner so I could eat another one.
