Glowing
She probably wouldn't agree, but my friend and work colleague, Michelle, is absolutely blossoming with her pregnancy and in such a good way. She looks fabulous and she appears, outwardly to be taking it in her stride.
12 of us took her out for a birthday and maternity leave meal tonight - she finishes work next week to go and have baby. We'll miss her so much, but we are all so excited for her too. She's going to be an amazing mum, no doubt at all.
We've had a fantastic night involving playdough, santa hats and cream eggs.
I am still in awe of the fact that all 13 of us could manage to fit cadbury's creme eggs into our mouth whole and still manage to make suggestions for a boy and girl name for the baby.
I was slightly disturbed by the range of playdough models created that were supposed to be a likeness of Michelle in her pregnancy - at least two of them looked like Jar Jar Binks, and one had the most obscenely large nipples I have ever seen!
Lots of laughs, to the point where we had to stop our silly games to let Michelle recover - the baby was reacting to the silliness (joining in we think).
We cleared the restaurant - around about the time we sang happy birthday...I thought it sounded lovely!
Top night, well organised by Lisa (again - party genius).
Will miss you Michelle but we're so looking forward to meeting your little bundle of joy when he or she arrives. They are going to have so many honorary aunts and uncles, they won't know what to do!
