Bright Lights and Tall Trees.
Aberdeen's Christmas tree this year was donated "by the people of Stavanger", apparently. And a mighty fine (Norwegian) tree it is too. It is also currently the only lit-up Christmas decoration in Aberdeen: since the storms brought down some of the decorations overhanging the street, the council has switched off the remaining lights. I noticed the tree did stand a little lop-sidedly though...
A long, long day at work today. The walk from one end of Union Street to the other to take this photograph was nicely theraputic, despite the wind beginning to pick up. I even managed to bake 20 (yes, 20) mince pies when I got home.
