Tyntesfield

Altho the weather was a bit changeable here in Westbury, we decided it wasn't too bad and we would have a little walk around Tyntesfield house ( near Bristol ) before heading over to the cinema at Longwell Green ( the other side of Bristol ).

As we arrived the weather became less changeable and more constantly miserable, starting with a good hail storm as we pulled into the car park! Needless to say we had a short, brisk walk to the house and back. This is a back view ( we didn't even go round to the front! ) - I love all the different turrets, pinnacles, windows and roof levels.

After a bowl of soup to warm us up, we went off to the cinema. After we'd purchased the tickets we were informed that " it's cold in that screen " as the heating was broken. I was a bit annoyed they didn't mention this before we'd paid and that we'd still been asked to pay the full price. After going in to check exactly how cold it was ( needed our coats and I wished I hadn't left my hat and scarf in the car ) we complained and were then given some money back and a free coffee.

At least the film was good - we went to see Tintin ... I think Herge would be impressed too.
