Hide

Another great walk in the morning, including a visit to the wildlife hide to look at all kinds of finches, greater spotted woodpeckers, red squirrels and the like. Plus coffee out of a flask and accompanying chocolate-dipped shortbread, that's my kind of simple pleasure right there in a nutshell. Bright, sunny and suitably pre-festive, could have done with another night away but work, school and all that normal life stuff got in the way. Back home to an evening of putting up the Christmas decorations and two very tired girls, having been exhausted by all that unwrapping of grandparents' Christmas presents they'd had to do.

Music, I should really link to some northern soul or some Chet Baker again as that is the de rigeur music at this time of year but instead I'll link to summat else that got played in our cottage a fair bit. I can quite safely say as well that I liked it far more than everybody else. But, as I often say, "What is there not to like?"
