The decorating is finished thank god, and it looks so much brighter. I've still got the ceilings to do downstairs but Mike is in the process of tongue and grooving them as they are so uneven. So it will be a while before I'll be doing them

Ellis and I have had a great day today, we've had visitors, my friend Emma and her little boy Harry who is three.

We had a lovely walk in the Greenfield Valley and stopped off for coffee and carrot cake in the cafe that is down by Basingwork Abbey. They even allowed the dogs in and were quite happy and said they were dog friendly. Bonus as it was raining again by this time.

After the walk when Mike came home from work we headed off with Ellis to do the shopping, saves a job tomorrow and I can enjoy my last two days off work. Ellis is such a bonny little lad, hardly ever cries. He's now got two teeth, and is almost on his feet. He's got a couple of whopping bruises on his head now that he's more mobile.

A late post tonight, this is one of the flowers that Sez brought me last weekend, they are still rather lovely. I'll have to catch up on comments mainly tomorrow.
