Charitable Gifts

We took this loot to the Animal Rescue League today. We collected $71 & all these goodies for a donation. It felt good to be able to help in a small way, & the people there were grateful for it all. We went through the dog kennels while there & decided to walk one of them. I never knew you could do so before, but apparently anyone can volunteer to walk a dog on their grounds as a way for them to get extra attention & socialization. Wouldn't it be nice to do so each day? Most all of the dogs up for adoption there were pitbulls, which is sad. Although never really interacting with one before, we chose Sylvia, a rather sweet & very appreciative red dapple coat pitbull. She seemed nervous & shy when we first walked through, but when we took off her "walk me" tag, she literally shimmied all over in excitement & joyfully sniffed everything outside. Good deed for the day: check!
