Tell me what this is... again

....because I don't know. I went round the garden at lunchtime looking for blips and came across this. I knew I hadn't blipped it before and it looked rather festive, so it made it into my journal for today.

I promised to give the answer today to the quiz question I set in my blip for Friday. Now, to date, no-one has viewed it. I know I didn't post it until yesterday, but surely it isn't that unremarkable? Anyway, I'll give you the answer, whether you want it or not: it's Eric The Half a Bee.
