Daytime star burst

A day of alternating heavy rain/hail showers and bright sunshine with rainbows popping up with promises of no more flooding. I find that hard to believe when I hear what the weather forecast has for us later in the week.

I think this is a form of Berberis - or probably, just to muddle me, it is now called Mahonia - does anyone else know?
