early ice

I'm posting early today so I stop neglecting the things I'm supposed to be doing.
We have a small pond in our front yard, and we keep the fountain running all year for our little birds. This morning the ice formed for the first time this season. Sometimes I've had to use an ice-breaker in mid-winter to reach open water, but today it's just pretty, so everyone is happy.
There is even a hint of the greenery left from summer, but I really like the little bubbles. Wish I could have gotten a good reflection in them.
