Hunger for Christmas

There was no milling around on the crowded Christmas food market in Farmleigh this year, the kids were just simply too starved.
Every step of the preparation of their sausage was closely scrutinized (the placing of the sausages on the cooker, the turning of the sausages, the poking of the sausages with a thermometer, the drenching of the sausages in copious amounts of rain water...)
It was then wolfed down in a matter of seconds.
Worryingly, there was no more sign of Santa after the rain had started, not since he was briefly glimpsed in a horse-drawn carriage.
We all went to the brilliant story telling in the old kitchen (you should see the size of their cast iron ovens, grills, toasters and micro waves!) and once again the kids lapped it up. Nana and Carlos too.
And finally Santa was there when we came back out. Everybody was delighted to meet him. And shake his hand. And talk to him. And some even gave him a little belly rub.

Everyone was delighted to see Santa. Except perhaps this little dog

A big thank you to the Office of Public Works who once again did a fantastic job at Farmleigh. And helped to make Christmas special for yet another year.
