Sky Mirror

Had a lot of family here today for a pre-Christmas get together. We went for a meal at the restaurant at the Playhouse theatre. Biblical rain lashed the windows as we ate. I briefly braved it to take this picture of Anish Kapoor's Sky Mirror outside. When it was first placed here there were worries that it could somehow direct light into a lethal beam that might incinerate unsuspecting pigeons (I don't think I'm making this up) but, as far as I'm aware this hasn't so far happened. And there was little danger of it today.

Nice meal though and great to see everyone.
