Yo Ho Ho (1)

Today George and I gave in and let our daughter put up the Christmas decorations. She made a great job of the tree - it is busy and covered in a mish-mash of decorations. There are decorations from when George and I were little, some we bought last year, Claire's own decorations - we buy her a bauble every year so she has her own collection to start her off when she leaves home.

I dislike 'themed' trees where every year a new et of baubles and bows are bought because a certain look is 'in'. Our tree is festooned with memories and that's the way we like it.

Claire thought the standard lamp should be decorated too and although you can't tell in black & white, the red velvet shade has red and golden baubles attached. We think she did a great job, so thank you, Claire.
