Neoplasia

Much of my free time around the house has been spent ridding this property of vines. Neglect has taken its toll on many of the trees and shrubs. The neighbors in the garage apartment are gone for the summer, so finally I took a peek at the vegetation behind their apartment. Oh, it was so sad. This gorgeous pine tree was the victim of 3 different vines, this one being the most evil. As I clipped away at all the feeders from this vine, I was reminded of a malignant tumor sending out new blood vessels or feeders of tumor tissue. Yes, once again, my geeky veterinary mind becomes apparent. I did everything I could to get all the feeders. I will keep a close eye on these guys throughout the summer in case further surgery is needed.
