Jimmy Dyer...

You can say what you like about Carlisle, but I like this statue in The Lanes. It's of "Jimmy Dyer, a well known itinerant fiddler and ballad singer." Commissioned for the city of Carlisle in 1986... Each year J and I have a day Christmas shopping in Carlisle, today was the day this year. It was as busy as i've ever seen it but we managed through the chaos to get all we needed and still made it back to the car before the parking ticket ran out. :)
