WE FOUND SOME BABY BANANAS

at the trottoir and we had leftovers from Mie's yesterday. So Mischa and I thought to bring that too for the birds to eat. The mie was disregarded by all animals, the coots, at least some of them, ate a bit of the bananas.
The amount of gulls seems to grow everyday now.
Only two swans were swimming in the pond, where the others had gone to we did not found out. A woman from the neighbourhood told us that when it would start snowing and freezing we should come and see very how much more full it would be there.
A quiet Sunday, now it's grey and uneventful. Best time to do some simple things.
I read a poem of R.M. Rilke from the 150 poems book, Herbsttag. The famous line in it that goes like this: "Wer jetzt kein Haus hat, baut sich keines mehr". Who now has no house, builds him/herself none anymore.

My haiku:

In the tree we find
The empty nest once occupied
Next spring far away

And the proverb:

Every mile is two in winter.
