Kauri Tree

The Kauri trees of New Zealand are amongst the oldest in the world. This is a fairly young example at probably 300 years old, there are trees which have been estimated to be around 2000 years old.

A walk around the bush with friends to seek out a Kauri tree was a good way to spend our last day in New Zealand. After 4 weeks we have explored both islands to the best of our ability and there is plenty to come back for.

Tomorrow is 'ground hog' day for us, flight times and crossing the international dateline means our Monday is going to last around 45 hours. Lets hope we sleep well tonight!

I make that blip 100.
