Snowman

Meet Scott the Snowman. Named so after a friend of ours who is socially awkward - and we thought the snowman looked a little awkward. However, is this not the best snowman you've ever seen? Not that I have seen that many, but I think it looks pretty good! It's the first snowman I've ever built too! Not bad for a rookie effort (I did have some help lots of help from the man though) (he forced me to reword that, as he called himself 'project manager' of the task - he watches too much of The Apprentice)..

Don't you think he looks like he wants a hug? That's what we thought, and just as we had finished and were walking away, a family came to have a look at our snowman, and their 3 or 4 year old child went up and gave it a big hug! It was rather adorable.

Christmas shopping, I am semi-ashamed to say, did not go ahead yet again today. We had every intention, but spent a little too long playing in the snow (mainly my fault) and decided we should have some lunch (a rather late lunch) and then head into town to hit the shops. However, as I was ordering lunch, I got chatting to the bartender and she was asking what our plans were for the afternoon and if we were seeing a movie (as there is a cinema in the same complex). I thought that sounded like a mighty fine idea! Jon didn't need a lot of persuasion, so an hour or so later (after a steak sandwich and a piece of chocolate fudge cake and losing terribly at a game of pool), we were in the cinemas watching Hugo 3D.

Not a bad way to spend a Saturday! Definitely must tackle Christmas shopping tomorrow! No more talking ourselves out of it!
