Santa

Today's the day ......................... for an assignation

Met a man (Codename: Santa) off the 18.08 hrs train from Wigan. We had two hours to complete the handover before he had to leave again.

I took him to the Station Inn - it was safe there and the beer was good. We talked about the good old days. He wanted to know how things were at the Organisation. I told him as much as I dared.

He handed me the coded notebook and the rolled up manuscript. He gave me a brief hug and then slipped away as silently as he had come ...................
