Sunshine and Christmas

I love the street art throughout Funchal and today there was an outdoor market in the old town.

I loved the colourful stalls against the huge murals and with glorious sparkling sunshine it was very special.

Outside the Cathedral there was a super young choir singing Christmas Carols in several languages. The girls were all wearing Santa hats and it was a delight to sit and drink a coffee and have a Pasteis de Belem.....

Less wonderful to follow the football but as the day draws to a close, it's "Strictly" and then off out for a Brazilian meal - a Picanha I think...
