Gas prices dropping?

Looked out of my window this morning and the Gas company have turned up and dug great big holes at three metre intervals all along our street and the next and the next and the next.
In our short wee bit of street I counted 14 holes, they each had a man in them. We have been told that they will be here for the next 84 weeks (or something similar) The noise is unbelievable.
Good job Daisy gets me up at 5.30 otherwise being woken by that noise at 8.30 would really have got on my nerves!
