A Little Reminder

This Christmas season I am in the midst of quite a bit of transition: working toward a new career, living with family (instead of my own place as I'm used to), with my own household items in storage for the short future, and multiple part time jobs to make ends meet for now. I never thought I'd find aspects of this type of "unsecure" life enjoyable, but I am, for the most part, at peace.

Yet, as Christmas approaches as fast as ever, I find myself wanting to slow down-- needing to slow down-- and focus on why I celebrate his holiday. Last year my dad and step-mom gave me this necklace as a gift. Since my own holiday decorations, including my nativity scene, are in aforementioned storage, this is the only Nativity Scene I have this year. I love its simplicity and grace. Along with the Advent readings from my Bible, Christmas is regaining is purpose in my heart!
