Delights at every turn

I spent more time in central Havana today. It is hard to walk far without stopping to take a photograph. In fact I think you could stand still and all sorts of interesting things would happen in front of your eyes.

Restoration is going on all around, but there are many buildings that are waiting patiently to be restored. Some will fall down before they are saved.

Here is a typical view of a staircase. You walk past something like this and then feel compelled to return to look more carefully. There is a marble staircase and tiles on the walls. I like the muted colours and decided this was best left in colour and not converted to mono.
