Sunbeams

Just arrived

These mixed weaned calves arrived yesterday from another farm. Their mothers are dairy cows and the sires are beef breeds. The ones in the picture look like Belgian Blue crossed with Holstein Friesian and a few Hereford crosses with their white faces. We shall keep them now until they are adult and fattened for the market - unless the TB gets them first. We have received a letter with the date of the next test.

The Baxter lorry arrived today to collect all N's dialysis treatment boxes he no longer needs. We can now get into our garage again and the space under the stairs!

The weather has been cold, bright and sunny today. Let's hope the storms in Scotland have calmed down and the power is being restored to all those homes without electricity.
