The Singapore Flyer

This is a bend on Singapore's Formula One street circuit that runs past its big wheel called the Singapore Flyer. It was difficult to pick an image today because I had one or two nice shots of Extreme 40 catamarans and a moody sky ahead of a real monsoon downpour. But I'm back at the event again tomorrow so decided to wait for another boat shot.

It's not often I get the opportunity to use my fish eye lens but I thought that all the curves here would bring it in to its own. Gill thinks it looks like a giant banana; or is it a big smile?

The last time I came here all the futuristic buildings surrounding the venue were nothing but a building site. They've really moved things on.
