wander, stumble, wonder

Angels we have heard on high

This is Liz. This is her first blip appearance. Hoorah! Hoorah! She asked so nicely, I couldn't say no. :)

Rather busy day, things to do at work, an enormous unexpected clap of thunder in the afternoon that had everyone talking (I do actually mean it. Australians will often tell you Tasmanians just always talk about the weather. We do have interesting weather though.) A dash to the car through the bucket being poured down from the skies, a 30 minute sit in traffic (we have a peak half hour, and I managed to see both the beginning and the end), and a fascinating lecture by the director-general of the International Red Cross Committee. Sure I tuned out a couple of times, but that's just a reflection on my own tired brain, not him - he was very engaging, and said some very interesting things. And finally a Christmas BBQ party, where I discovered my friends have some quite cool lighting going on in their backyard. I could have gone inside and used my big camera, but my little one was in my hand. And the party was pretty fun too.

Tomorrow I'm off to do my Christmas shopping, and then do general housey things that just need to be done - sort and destroy uni notes, write some cards, you know, that kind of thing. It's going to be marvellous. Apart from a brief work thing on Sunday arvo, this is my weekend, and stuff will get done.
