Tree

We had planned to go to Gymboree this morning followed by a trip to see Granny and Grandad.

However, our plans were scuppered due to very strong winds. All the schools in the area were closed, and Police advised people to travel only if necessary. So kerrsdaddy worked from home, and Kerr and I had an at home day too.

We did manage to put up the Christmas tree and all the decorations, so it wasn't an entirely wasted day. Kerr saw the tree with the lights on and said "It's brilliant!"

Tonight I was reading Kerr's bedtime story. He chose his 100 first words book, which isn't a story at all but just lots of pictures of objects. We talk about each page and all the items, colours etc. We got to the page with the toys on it. He correctly pointed out the stacking rings, ball, train set and other toys. One picture was a baby sitting playing with blocks. I asked Kerr what it was and he said "Blocks. I got blocks on my nose. Sometimes in Mummy and Daddy's bed." It made me chuckle. He was obviously thinking of when he had a cold recently and I told him his nose was blocked. He slept in with us because he was restless due to his blocked nose.
