Everyone's Gone To The Moon

Most people in Scotland, Ireland and in the northern regions of England and Wales will know there have been hurricane force winds and driving rain creating havoc today. Schools closed, roads closed, trees down, power lost, hospitals having to switch to emergency generators, ships stuck out as sea unable to get into harbour, police advising against all travel until 9pm this evening...........the list goes on. Dreadful stuff.

The photograph is of an empty high street in Stirling this evening. The Thistles shopping centre was also pretty quiet. In the lead-up to Christmas this would normally have been a busy late night shopping evening. But most folks have taken refuge at home, or perhaps gone to the moon.
