Harder to capture than a Haggis

If you look closely in the window of a little bakery on Parkway in Bridgewater, you will see these wild Manchips. They have been stuffed with jam and are sold as sweetmeats that guarantee a sure-fire sugar-rush.

My friend, of that same surname, is delighted to have tracked these down through his friend and now eagerly awaits tasting these delights. (Maybe an ancestor of his invented this recipe).

To state the obvious, outside is blowing a bit of a gale.
