Hopeful ...

Scotland is still in the grip - or should that be the teeth - of a storm that has brought near record gusts on Cairngorm, but this sky, just as the sun set in a welter of blackness, seemed to give a promise that all would soon be calm.

Don't be fooled. As I tried to upload it a power-cut shut down the computer, everything. I can't bear to revert to the primitive life, so I'm happy to say the outage lasted only 10 minutes before the phone answer-machine started blethering at us and I could get on with ... well, life, actually.
