Preening

When it's as cold as this you've got to keep your feathers in good order. And today was cold - according to the thermometer 2 or 3 degrees warmer than yesterday but the thermometer lies because it doesn't allow for wind chill - bitter wind today and icy paths and roads.
I'm enjoying concentrating on the ponds for most of my blips at the moment, getting endless variety from a small area (7 minutes between first and last photos today). The other option for today was a general view but I'll give you one of those sometime.
Took a few minutes out for this at midday. I think the funeral went well. Felt quite drained at the end. Most of the family are straight back to Birmingham but I can at least offer some pastoral support to the one who lives in Dundee.
