Happiness is......

NO SNOW!!!

It's gone! It's gone.......the snow has gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hip Hip Hoooray!!!

The Rain Fairy visited in the night and washed it all away. I am a happy lady today!

Swapped my day off from Friday to today as D & I were supposed to be in Glasgow this morning but sods law, Alan woke up choked with the cold and feeling really miserable so is off school. D has gone to Glasgow on his own. Think he might be grumpy when he gets back!

I have used my time well and written a list of who I still have to buy for (almost everyone! Groan!) but I can now turn my mind to what to buy. Quick bit of lunch and online shopping will commence!

Then I can think about my Christmas food list. D's sis Ele and hubby Kenny & my neice Jennifer and nephew Andrew and stepdad John (hope you're keeping up with the names....there will be a test later! ;-) coming for Christmas dinner. I'm thinking traditional is the way to go.....ham & lentil soup (added option of prawn cocktail. That's a retro must for Christmas Day!) turkey with all the trimmings, homemade sherry trifle & banoffie pie, cheese & biscuits......that should see us through till supper!

Oh, better think about getting those cards written too!!!

Had to be organised with my blip today as we are being visited by 3 wheelchair reps later this afternoon in our quest to get Alan some wheels that actually meet his needs (rather than the make do and mend chair provided by the NHS!) They will be here demonstrating the chairs right at the time when Alan usually has his dinner so he's going to be well chuffed but it was the only time we could co-ordinate the visits. Hey ho!

Today's blip is a little shot of the latest addition to the family. An Audi A5, which, to my utter delight is 4-wheel drive!!! Sadly, since D has the longer commute, he gets to take it to work but I am hoping it means I won't be so trapped at the weekends when the weather is bad!
