I Am Sixteen...

I probably should have snapped this during the day but didn't have the time earlier.

When I pass this in the gardens it always reminds me of the scene from The Sound of Music when Leisel and Rolf sing 'I am sixteen...'

I love that film - it probably goes in my '3 films for the rest of your life' game. I know every word and song.

Two awesome family holidays in Austria took us to many of the scenes including the actual gazebo! I've jumped up the steps, ran through the vineyard, Ave Maria-ed it at the abbey and spun on the hill. But I didn't get to swirl in the gazebo. The 'verboten' sign made it quite clear that swirling was not allowed.

So on my daily walks to and from town I pass this gazebo and resist the urge to belt out the tune and swirl...

Maybe one day...
