Power drain

Early this morning, (too early), one of the smoke alarms started that annoying "beep, beep, beep" that says, "change my effin battery will you?"

It's got far more stamina than I've got patience, so I disconnected the bloody thing

She who must be obeyed asked, "why does it beep?"

The battery's drained I replied"

BLIP!!!!! I thought.

Ah well. Until tomorrow....
